The whole roster of Energica Ego Corsa bikes were decimated in Jerez earlier this week.
A fire engulfed the MotoE paddock after the bikes had been tested at the Spanish circuit.
All 18 bikes that were put through their paces on Wednesday have been destroyed.
The inferno started at 12.15am local time and no one suffered any injuries. MotoGP say no bikes were charging when the fire started.
“The cause of the fire is currently under investigation”
Dorna
"A fire in the newly-built E-paddock has destroyed the majority of material for the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup," a statement from the organiser Dorna read.
"The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
"Fortunately there have been no injuries.
“An update will follow in the coming hours regarding the exact causes of the fire and any subsequent changes to the calendar."
Will the MotoGP calendar be affected?
MotoE was initially set to race at the Circuito de Jerez as part of the Gran Premio Red Bull de Espana on Sunday May 5.
This has now been cancelled but MotoE will still race in 2019.
The championship was launched last year as a new support category for MotoGP.
MotoE was intended to take place on Sunday morning after the MotoGP warm-up session.
Between seven and 10 laps were planned to showcase the latest Energica Ego Corsa bikes.
What MotoGP teams have been affected by the fire?
Tech3, Pramac, LCR, Avintia, SIC Racing [Petronas Yamaha] and Gresini [Aprilia's works team] all signed up to MotoE.
