MotoGP ace reveals what Lewis Hamilton is really like after Valentino Rossi meet and greet | MotoGP news results drivers race and qualifying MotoGP latest - Daily Star

The British superstar is preparing to defend his F1 title with the season kicking off in Australia on Sunday.

Nevertheless, he took time out last week to get an insight into motorbike racing at the highest level.

Hamilton was snapped chinwagging with MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi in Qatar.

He also took time out to socialise with Morbidelli and his Petronas SRT team-mate Fabio Quartararo.

“Lewis Hamilton met MotoGP stars Valentino Rossi and Franco Morbidelli”

"To meet Lewis was a great experience for me," Morbidelli said.

"I enjoyed it a lot, and I was very surprised to see how he is as a person - he's a great person, very humble, very interested in this sport, very passionate.

"He did many questions about riding, about how is the bike, what you do here, what you do there, how the tyre consumption is.

"It was just nice, and it was a pity to not have enough time to speak more with him.

“But I enjoyed the moment, and I hope he enjoyed this moment inside the pitbox and to see how the two-wheel riders act."

Hamilton’s meet and greet in the Middle East came amid report of:

- Marc Marquez showcasing his title credentials in THIS Motocross video

- Jorge Lorenzo taking to Instagram as his injury woes mount

- A fascinating Valentino Rossi and Tom Brady prediction

Following the catch up between two sporting heavyweights, Rossi revealed what he talked about with Hamilton.

The veteran Italian posted on Instagram: “Great to have my mate @lewishamilton in the box before the race for an interesting chat about passion and Motorsport.”

Hamilton has admitted he’s always fancied himself on two wheels.

"I've always been passionate about motorcycles since I was a kid, not everyone knows it, but I've always liked the two wheels in addition to cars,” Hamilton told Sky Italia.

“I had a cross bike when I was young, I trained with bikes in 2017 and 2018 and I had a lot of fun, but I was not so fast.

“In any case, if I was not involved with Formula 1, I would have to try somewhere with the bikes.

“To switch to the bike? I think about it, but it's very difficult.”
