After recovering from his double ankle break, Pedrosa stepped up from the 125cc championship and joined the ranks of 250cc riders. Racing for Honda, Pedrosa won the opening race of the 2004 season in South Africa and never looked back. In two seasons of 250cc, he won 15 races en route to two consecutive titles. It was time for MotoGP.
