The Spaniard has cut a sorry figure at the Japanese heavyweights this season.

He’s still wrestling with some career-threatening injuries and can’t get to grips with Honda RC213V.

It’s been a tough few months for Lorenzo who was also cut by Ducati after similarly struggling with the Desmosedici.

He eventually got used to it - and picked up some good results - but Ducati had already made up their mind.

Lorenzo admitted to Italian newspaper Tuttosport this week that he’s finding it hard to keep going.

“It's not easy, but I have not turned to a psychologist,” he explained.

“How do I get my job done? My brain and my experience help me, but it's very hard because this is a job that requires a lot of discipline.

“And, after 17 years, is not easy motivate yourself without results.

“They are what give you a smile and the desire to continue working."
