MotoGP live stream: How to watch Catalunya 2018 Grand Prix from Barcelona online

MotoGP 2018 continues today with the latest instalment of an explosive season so far about to take place at the Catalunya Grand Prix in Barcelona.

Last time out championship leader Marc Marquez saw his lead at the top of the standings cut after a disastrous race.

Marquez surged from sixth on the grid to third on the opening lap before overtaking Valentino Rossi to move into second position.

But while chasing race leader Jorge Lorenzo he lost the front end of his Repsol Honda coming into a corner on lap five and slid into a gravel trap.

He managed to keep the bike going and rejoin the race but despite his best efforts finished outside the points.

Meanwhile Lorenzo, who Marquez had been chasing down, drove his best race ever with Ducati as he secured his first victory with the Italian team.

The result meant Marquez’s lead at the top of the MotoGP standings was cut to just 23 points.

His bitter rival Rossi is in second position with Maverick Vinales and then Andrea Dovizioso behind him.

After the race it was revealed Lorenzo, who has recently been picking up his form after a tough time at Ducati, is joining Marquez next year.

The three-time MotoGP champion will replace Dani Pedrosa as Marquez’s teammate.

It means Repsol Honda will have in their line-up the two riders that have won the last six championships.

It remains to be seen if this will be a match made in heaven or spark a intra-team rivalry like the one seen with Hamilton and Rosberg in F1.

Speaking about Lorenzo’s arrival next season, Marquez said: “It will be a big change for the team, as I've learned a lot from Dani over the years.

“I’ll have a very strong team-mate next year and will try to learn a lot from him, as he has a different riding style.

“He'll be hard to beat, but I'll worry about that in the future. I'll be able to compare my style to his, as I'm aggressive while he's smoother”.
