MotoGP: Controversial Marc Marquez and Andrea Dovizioso claim made by BT Sport pundit

Marquez is 21 points ahead of Andrea Dovizioso in the standings with just one race, in Valencia, to go.

Dovizioso's only hope of taking the crown is by winning the race and Marquez finishing 12th or further back.

The omens aren't good for the Italian - he has never won in Valencia for a start - but former British and World Superbike champion Hodgson insists the title race isn't over.

He told BT Sport: "We are at round 18 and it could go either way.

"The 21 points isn't enough, it has to be 25. In a season we've had so much drama, expect the unexpected

"Anything could happen - it's not done.

"The pressure is on Marc. This is for the World Championship.

"Marc doesn't normally buckle under pressure but when it's this sort of pressure..."

Fellow BT Sport pundit Colin Edwards agrees and said: "To steal Valentino Rossi's line, it's the year of the surprise. You just never know.

"It's not over until the fat lady sings."
