The racing heavyweights also struggled with a lack of grip in Jerez 10 days ago.
Rossi finish fifth, but only after a horror crash involving Andrea Dovizioso, Dani Pedrosa and Jorge Lorenzo.
The Italian says he wants Yamaha to get their act together as he looks to rival Marquez.
He said: ”I hope they hurry to improve things because, in effect, Yamaha will be here for another 100 years.

“They have time, but mine runs out and I'm a bit rushed to notice the improvements and fight for the title.
"I am afraid that the improvements will not come before the Barcelona Grand Prix, where there will be a very important test.
“In that sense, I hope to be competitive in the second part of the season.”
The season resumes on June 17 in Barcelona.
Marquez is currently top of the leader board following two wins and three podium finishes this campaign.
Tech 3 ace Johann Zarco is second and Rossi’s teammate - Maverick Vinales - is third.
