MotoGP: Valentino Rossi is concerned about behind the scenes issues at Yamaha

The Italian is desperate to secure glory after he was blighted by a leg break last term.

However, the veteran star is concerned that issues with the new Yamaha M1 will derail his title charge.

According to Spanish news outlet Diario Gol, it’s also causing discontent behind the scenes at Yamaha.

Team supremo Massimo Meregalli listens to Rossi’s guidelines when it comes to bike development.

That’s upsetting his team-mate, Maverick Vinales, who feels he’s being ignored.

Vinales performed impressively during the 2017 campaign and wants to have more input.

Diario Golreckon Marc Marquez is loving the Yamaha’s turmoil.

“MotoGP star Valentino Rossi s worried about Yamaha’s new bike”

It’s suggested he only agreed to renew his contract at Honda on the condition they had the most competitive bike.

The 25-year-old is the youngest rider ever to win four titles.

Marquez secured glory twice two years consecutively in 2016 and 2017 and in 2013 and 2014.

In public, he’s claimed Rossi is a threat to his crown.

Speaking last week, the Spaniard said: ”Dovizioso, who is already a focused driver, I expect even more from him than last year.

“Zarco is there - and Valentino is Valentino.

“The last day in Qatar has already popped in.

“Dani Pedrosa has many options, but we will try too, eh "
